ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

RTA has been working in close coordination with the Louisiana Department of Health to complete application for consideration as a Closed Point of Dispensing ("POD") for provision of the COVID-19 vaccine.

DISCUSSION:
RTA management and staff have been in close contact with numerous entities to secure access to the COVID-19 vaccine for RTA employees and those employees of its ferry operations and security guard services. This "Memorandum of Agreement-Closed Point of Dispensing Site" between the RTA and the Louisiana Department of Health ("LDH")/Office of Public Health ("OPC") provides for the mass prophylaxis of these individuals by LDH/OPC under the direction and pursuant to the guidance of the State of Louisiana.
Authorization of key RTA management to enter this Memorandum of Agreement is critical for expediency in obtaining access to and proceeding with vaccination of RTA employees (and those of its contractors dedicated to RTA ferry and security operations). In addition, authorization is requested herein to extend to any and all additional agreements related to the provision of mass prophylaxis for the benefit of RTA and related personnel in connection with COVID-19.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
