ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

Staff is interested in filing a grant application for fiscal year 2021 Section 5337 allocated funds. The Section 5337 funding is for the State of Good Repairs on Fixed Guideway vehicles and vehicle facilities. Fixed Guideway represents the streetcars and streetcar facilities. In addition, Preventative Maintenance costs for the Streetcars are also covered under this funding.

DISCUSSION:
To receive FY 2021 Section 5337 allocated grant funds an application will need to be submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Total Budget is $5,855,310; Federal Share is $4,684,248 and RTA Local Match is $1,171,062.
NEXT STEPS:
Upon Board Approval staff will submit FY2021 grant application for Section 5337.
