ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

With the escalated cost of fuel, the agency now has an immediate need to pay outstanding invoices with Refit Oil & Fuel. This change order seeks to extend the purchase order with Refit throughout February 2023, when the contract will expire. While this extension is in place the agency will pursue a new solicitation for a new Fuel Card Use Contract.

DISCUSSION:
In accordance with Sections III and IV of the Agreement between Regional Transit Authority and Retif Oil & Fuel, LLC executed on February 19, 2018, the purpose of this change order is to authorize and provide funding for option year 2/contract year 5 of the agreement. All Para-Transit and Support vehicles use these fuel card services. This allows us to maintain these services throughout the end of the contract period which expires at the end of February 2023.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The cost value is $604,515.00 and will be funded through the following budget accounts: 1430099.8030.081($187,521.00), 1430099.9221.181($11,969.00), 1450002.8030.03105($380,724.00) & 1450002.9221.03105($24,301.00)
NEXT STEPS:
Upon RTA Board approval, staff will carry out the request.
