To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to award a contract to Courtesy Ford for the purchase of six (6) F-350 Trucks for an amount not to exceed $297,462.36.

ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

The agency has a need to replace our fleet of 3500 series trucks. These trucks are used to transport goods and maintain equipment throughout the agency. Many of these trucks have reached the end of their useful life and need to be replaced.

DISCUSSION:
The RTA was awarded grant funding to purchase non-revenue vehicles via grant LA2022-022.1113.114211. This grant will allow us to purchase (6) six trucks that have exceeded their FTA-required useful life. The agency will use Louisiana state contract 4400023793.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is made available through grant LA2022-022.1113.114211. The estimated cost for the six (6) vehicles is $297,462.36.
NEXT STEPS:
Upon RTA board approval, staff will work with procurement to complete the purchase of the vehicles.
