Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to award a contract to Creative Bus Sales to purchase 21 paratransit vehicles, utilizing the State of Oklahoma contract SW0797C.

ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

Twenty-one of our paratransit vehicles have reached or exceeded their useful life cycle, the RTA was awarded funds for the replacement of 21 para vehicles under LA2021-014.1113.11125.

DISCUSSION:
All good things must come to an end, as such is true with 21 of our now aged paratransit vehicles. The RTA was awarded funds through LA2021-014.1113.111215 to replace our paratransit vehicle in accordance with FTA life cycles.
Utilizing the State of Oklahoma contract SW0797C, RTA can purchase quality vehicles that will match our new branding and direction. An influx of new vehicles will help the RTA with its mission to provide safe, clean, and on-time service to our constituents.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding is available through grant funding (LA2021-014.1113.111215), total estimated costs of this project are $2,238,453, of which $447,960.60 will be locally funded.
NEXT STEPS:
When Approved to proceed, the team will continue to develop this proposal following the Notice for funding and the contract award.
