ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

Staff is interested in filing a grant application for Fiscal Year 2021 Section 5339 allocated funds. The Section 5339 funding is for Bus and Bus Facilities. These funds are used for the repairs to the facility buildings as well as tools and equipment for the buses and Para Transit vehicles. Bus stop signage and amenities can be purchased using these funds.

DISCUSSION:
To receive FY 2021 Section 5339 allocated grant funds an application will need to be submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Total Budget is $1,436,375; Federal Share is $1,149,100 and RTA local match is $287,275
NEXT STEPS:
Upon Board approval staff will submit FY 2021 grant application for Section 5339.
