ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

Staff is interested in filing a grant application for Fiscal Year 2021 Section 5307 allocated funds. The Section 5307 funding is our capital funding which is used for the Preventative Maintenance costs associated with Bus and Para Transit Vehicles as well as Preventative Maintenance costs for the Ferry vessels. In addition, 1% of this allocation is assigned to Security for its use.

DISCUSSION:
To receive FY 2021 Section 5307 allocated grant funds an application will need to be submitted to the Federal Transit Administration (FTA).
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Total Budget is $13,673,973; Federal Share is $10,939,098 and RTA Local Match is $2,734,875.
NEXT STEPS:
Upon Board approval staff will submit FY 2021 grant application for Section 5307.
