Authorize the Chief Executive officer to award a contract to Empire Truck Sales, LLC for the purchase of a box truck (“vault Truck).

ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

RTA has a vault truck (midsized box truck) that needs replacement, it has outlived its useful life.

DISCUSSION:
RTA has gotten grant funds and participated in a competitive bid process to replace an agency box truck. This box truck’s primary function is to transport vaults from agency facilities to the money counting room. It is also used for other various material transportation for the agency.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
The estimated cost of the project is $120,792.00. Funding is available through a grant:

Upon RTA Board approval, staff will assign a purchase order.
