To authorize the Chief Executive Officer to award a contract to the following firms for On-Call Architectural/Engineering Enterprises (A/E) which are Small Business Enterprises (SBE): Asakura Robinson, Battue, LLC, Gaea Consultants, Gotech, Inc., Infinity Engineering Consultants, LLC, Integrated Logistical Support, Inc., Julien Engineering, Manning Architects, MSMM Engineering, Inc., and Pivotal Engineering.

The Infrastructure Department has determined a need to solicit for on-call architectural and engineering services for RTA’s small engineering needs.

DISCUSSION:
The goal of this project is to have On-Call A/E certified SBE firms available to quickly respond to RTA’s engineering needs. RTA received fourteen respondents to this RFP, thirteen were compliant, the highest seven scores were selected, because four firms were tied at seven, ultimately ten firms were selected. The selected firms will be required to perform engineering services needed for projects. The RTA will notify the A/E firm in writing to undertake a specific task order. After execution of an agreement, the Procurement Department will issue a formal Notice to Proceed that contains a Task Order authorizing the task and maximum not-to-exceed cost, for which the A/E may commence work. The A/E Firm shall commence the services for the specified tasks within ten (10) days after receipt of notification. This list will be active for five (5) years. A Firm’s selection as the On-Call SBE Firm will not guarantee that the firm will receive project assignments. Staff will determine based on the project need when to solicit professional design services on a project specific basis. These contracts will not preclude an On-Call Firm or the team of firms from competing on other RTA solicitations.
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
Funding for these contracts will be made available through 1280002.7070.173 and other sources as tasks are identified.
NEXT STEPS:
Upon RTA Board approval, staff will assign a task order as needed.
