RECOMMENDATION:

Authorize the Chief Executive Officer to enter a three-year contract with Debra Gould & Associates, Inc to provide executive coaching services for the RTA leadership team at a cost not to exceed $125,000.00 per year.

This initiative is designed to strengthen the leadership capacity of the executive team, enabling them to lead with greater clarity, collaboration, and responsiveness in support of RTA’s mission to deliver inclusive, efficient, and sustainable transit services that enhance the rider experience.

ISSUE/BACKGROUND:

As the RTA advances its 5-year strategic plan, demands on executive leadership continue to grow. With a mission to deliver inclusive, efficient, and sustainable transit for the New Orleans region, our leaders must navigate complex operational, financial, and community challenges.

To lead initiatives like expanding service, modernizing infrastructure, and improving the rider experience, our team needs targeted support. Executive coaching offers a high-impact approach to strengthen leadership, foster collaboration, and align efforts with our strategic goals.

DISCUSSION:

This initiative is strategically aligned with RTA’s mission to enhance the rider experience by investing in leadership capacity. The inclusion of facilitation and team-building services ensures that the program is not only focused on individual growth but also on strengthening the executive team’s collective performance.

FINANCIAL IMPACT:

Funding for this contract will be provided through the local funds account code 01-2100-02-7070-176-00-00-00000-00000 in an amount not exceeding $125,000.00 per year for three years, with an option to renew for two additional years.

NEXT STEPS:

Upon Board approval, the RTA will execute a contract, issue the Purchase Order, and initiate program launch.
